Grow Small

If you are one for resolutions, how have you faired on in this first week of 2022? Each year I try to recognize the lessons from the previous year and name my hopes for the next - perhaps jotting them down in a journal/diary/notebook which I can refer to at Easter, Pentecost, and at the beginning of September. My prayer is that this year we each have greater compassion for ourselves: the last two years have been tough. If we can nestle deeper into God's arms then there will be a soothing of any wounds and a fresh discovery of our value and purpose. Hopefully, our Sundays will help tell the stories that prove that value and purpose as true and steadfast.

Grow Small 2022

A good way to nestle deeper into God's arms is to grow deeper in relationship with him and his people. This need not be fast, in fact the best growth is gentle. Small is what we are going to be doing each Tuesday for the next couple weeks.

Every Tuesday evening from the 11th of January to the 15th of February 2022, everyone interested in joining a small group will be meeting at Church. The format will be similar to what our follow-up alpha sessions have been like. We'll be together for a joint session before splitting into groups for a chat. The hope is to develop the relationships we can take into small groups for the year, as well as pick up some tips on good small group culture. If you've never been part of a small group before, this is a gentle way to learn how they work and maybe discover the group of Jesus following friends who could be pillars in your life for years to come.

This Sunday

This Sunday we begin our teaching series following the life of Joseph (the technicolor dream coat kid). We will be gently reading through the latter chapters of the book of Genesis as we discover more of God's story through the scriptures. If you haven't had a chance to read this story then join us tomorrow in person or online. Here are the links to our live streams:

- 9:30 a.m.
- 11 a.m.

Spotify users could listen to our playlists with Hymns and Modern Worship music to familiarise themselves with the songs we will be learning and singing in our services this year.

Every blessing
