Life and Life again

The beginning of July 2022 marked the beginning of my fourth year as Vicar as St Stephen’s. So much has happened over those three years, enough for a thousand stories. From lock downs, to live streams; booking and limited attendance, church has had to take a strange shape at times. I am glad that some sense of ‘normal’ is returning and we can venture into greater belonging, more fun, and increased encounters with God.

1) The Great St Stephen’s ‘Not A Car Boot Sale’.

This Saturday, thanks to the St Stephen’s School PTA (Friends Of St Stephen’s), the church hall and courtyard will play home to local people and businesses. The variety of stalls and tables will bring Shepherd’s Bush onto the church’s grounds and, under the sunshine, celebrate what makes this place as vibrant as it is. If you are about, come grab a cold drink, get to know someone local and perhaps find something precious in the mix of things.

2) Church Vs School Cricket Match

Monday 18th July 2020

5 p.m.

Shepherd’s Bush Cricket Club

Once a year the Church and School communities come together over a game of cricket. It is an excuse to gather, have fun, barbecue, catch up, and raise money for both the Church and the School.

There will be a bar, there will be a barbecue, there will be cricket and a whole heap of memories made.

Come join us. Keep your ears to the ground too because there’s more on the way.
